Nickname: Windy

Owners Colin, Annie, Barclaycard and Ebay

Our car is a 1986 2.8i Special (Hence the ½ leather seats and limited slip diff) with Front Strut Braces and Rear axle location kit. Usually we run on anything between 4 & 6 Cylinders, and have a Cci Exhaust fitted to make it sound kinda nice.

In 1990 the car was vandalised. And as the car was too good to be scrapped, it was decided that the roof would be chopped off and the car made into its present Cabriolet version.

As there is no longer a tailgate or boot area I made up the parcel shelf and hinged and locked it to make a place to put any valuables I may possess in the future, after paying to run a 2.8 engine.

I decided the parcel shelf looked a bit boring so decided to add a couple of speakers.

THEN IT ALL GOT A BIT SILLY !!!

At the moment we have 8 speakers 3 amplifiers (totalling 1200 Watts of power)
And Over 200 m of cable mounted in this car
All speakers in the front and Rear are lit by variable phased tri-colour fading Led’s creating a tremendous night time effect
The Hi fi is a Dvd, Mp3 USB player that allows me to place over 900 tracks of music on each CD

If you are having music you need lights so…….

Now it’s REALLY SILLY Time !!!!

At the moment I have
· 28 Neon Blue tubes (around the parcel shelf and in the foot wells)
· 4 Ultra Violet Tubes (in the boot and cabin area)
· 4 Multi LED Pink Tubes (under the front back and sides of the car)
· 4 green 10mm led’s under the spare wheel
· 4m of Blue LED tubes under the bonnet edges
· 10 high Brightness LED’s in the 2 inner headlight bowls controlled by a home built 10 channel controller
· 10 high Brightness Tri-coloured Leds switching at random in the Outer headlight bowls
· 4 Ultra bright Police style pursuit strobes in the 4 Headlight Bowls
· 2 front spotlight “Wig-Wag” flashers
· Rear Police style alternating stop/ reverse and indicator flashers
· Flashing Gear Knob (Stylish Huh !!!)
· Flashing Cigar lighter ( Really Stylish Huh !!!)
· Category 2 Laser under the front passenger seat to display in the front foot well
· Category 3 Lasers to front & rear of the car
· Lighting is controlled by
2 x sound to light controllers
1 x 10 channel chaser

THEN !!!!!!

If I am not making enough impact then I can add smoke or Bubbles from a theatrical smoke-making machine mounted under the car.

To cope with this little lot I have fitted heavy duty Monroe Gas shocks to the back and added a 2nd Battery behind the rear seats with a split charging system, a 4KW inverter to provide mains for the smoke machine and strobes (and inflate the bed in our tent) and am looking at fitting a 2nd Alternator Perhaps in the glove box !!)

Of course You need flames, so a nice touch is that when unburnt fuel passes through the exhaust a sparker lights a spark plug mounted in Both exhausts and produces flames up to 5ft Long from each Pipe..... V V Handy for toasting Marshmallows.

Apart from that the car is Standard !!!!

Don’t Tell My Wife (she thinks it’s just a nice colour)
